Former Eastern League prospect Tom Kelley was born on this date in 1944. He played in the Eastern League during four seasons with the Charleston Indians (1964), Pawtucket Indians (1967), and Waterbury Indians (1968-69).

He played in the majors for the Cleveland Indians (1964-67) and Atlanta Braves (1971-73).

Kelley died on September 25, 2015, at the age of 71.
