Happy 82nd birthday to former Eastern League prospect Norm Bass. He pitched for the 1959 Albany Senators (2-4, 5.19 ERA).

Bass played in the majors during three seasons with the Kansas City Athletics (1961-63).

He played professional football for the Denver Broncos in 1964, and his brother, Dick Bass played for the Los Angeles Rams (1960-69).
