He died of prostate cancer on September 5, 1994, at the age of 63.

Nieman played in the majors for 12 seasons with the St. Louis Browns (1951-52), Detroit Tigers (1953-54), Chicago White Sox (1955-56), Baltimore Orioles (1956-59), St. Louis Cardinals (1961), Cleveland Indians (1961-62) and San Francisco Giants (1962).

He worked as a major league scout for several years after his playing days. Nieman died on March 10, 1985 at the age of 58.

Gumpert played in the majors during 10 seasons with the Philadelphia Athletics (1936-38), New York Yankees (1946-48), Chicago White Sox (1948-51), Boston Red Sox (1952), and Washington Senators (1952).

He briefly managed the Bradford Yankees in the New York-Penn League in 1956, and was a scout for the New York Yankees from 1961 until 1993.

Gumpert died on November 25, 2008 at the age of 90.

Zimmer went on to a 12 year major league career with the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers (1954-59, '63), Chicago Cubs (1960-61), New York Mets (1962), Cincinnati Reds (1962) and Washington Senators (1963-65). He was also a longtime coach and managed for 12 seasons with San Diego Padres (1972-73), Boston Red Sox (1976-80), Texas Rangers (1981-82), and Chicago Cubs (1988-91).

He died on June 4, 2014, at the age of 83.
