Former Eastern League prospect Ron Negray was born on this date in 1930. He pitched for the Elmira Pioneers in 1951.

Negray played for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1952), Philadelphia Phillies (1955-56), and Los Angeles Dodgers (1958).

He was inducted into the Greater Akron (Ohio) Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992. Negray died on November 8, 2018, at the age of 88.
