He played in the majors during 7 seasons with the New York Yankees (1951-53), Baltimore Orioles (1954, '57), Chicago White Sox (1955-56), and Detroit Tigers (1956).
After he retired as a player, he managed the Lewiston Broncs for one season in the Northwest League and coached at Saddleback College.
Brideweser died on August 25, 1989, at the age of 62.
