Former Eastern League prospect Cal Neeman was born on this date in 1929. He played for the Binghamton Triplets in 1953 and '54.

Neeman went on to play for the Chicago Cubs (1957-60), Philadelphia Phillies (1960-61), Pittsburgh Pirates (1962), Cleveland Indians (1963), and Washingon Senators (1963).

He died on October 1, 2015, at the age of 86.
