Happy 51st birthday to former Eastern League prospect Bobby Jones. He played for the Binghamton Mets in 1992 (12-4, 1.88 ERA) and was the Eastern League Pitcher of the Year.

Jones pitched for the New York Mets (1993-2000) and San Diego Padres (2001-02). He played in the 1997 All-Star game and was the losing pitcher in one game of the 2000 World Series.
