Pagliaroni played in the majors during 11 seasons for the Boston Red Sox (1955, 1960-62), Pittsburgh Pirates (1963-67), Oakland Athletics (1968-69) and Seattle Pilots (1969).

He died on April 3, 2010, at the age of 72.
