This Date in Eastern League History: December 3, 1954

The Eastern League will operate during the 1955 season, even if there are only six teams.

Note: There were 8 teams in the Eastern League during the 1955 season: Reading Indians, Allentown Cardinals, Binghamton Triplets, Schenectady Blue Jays, Williamsport Grays, Wilkes Barre Barons/Johnstown Johnnies, Elmira Pioneers, Albany Senators).
