Former Eastern League prospect Al Cicotte was born on this date in 1929. He pitched for the Binghamton Triplets in 1952 (4-2, 2.21 ERA).
Cicotte played in the majors during 5 seasons with the New York Yankees (1957), Washington Senators (1958), Detroit Tigers (1958), Cleveland Indians (1959), St. Louis Cardinals (1961), and Houston Colt 45's (1962).
The grand nephew of Chicago "Black Sox" pitcher Eddie Cicotte, he died on November 29, 1982 at the age of 52.
