Happy 97th Birthday to former Eastern League prospect Charlie "Tim" Thompson. He played for the 1950 Elmira Pioneers. 

He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1954), Kansas City Athletics (1956-57), and Detroit Tigers (1958).

After his playing days, he was a scout with the St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Baltimore Orioles.
