Crowe played in the majors during 9 seasons for the Boston Braves (1952), Milwaukee Braves (1953, '55), Cincinnati Reds (1956-58), and St. Louis Cardinals (1959-61).
He was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 1976, and the Indiana Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004.
Crowe died on January 19, 2011, at the age of 89.
