Former Eastern League prospect Bud Thomas was born on this date in 1929. He played for the 1948 Elmira Pioneers.
Thomas played in 14 games for the 1951 St. Louis Browns. He worked as a school teacher and administrator for 30 years after his professional baseball career.
He died on August 15, 2015, at the age of 86.
