Happy 74th Birthday to former Eastern League prospect John Lamb. He pitched for the 1970 Waterbury Pirates (5-2, 1.47 ERA).
Lamb appeared in 47 games over three seasons for the Pittsburgh Pirates (1970-71, '73), finishing his major league career with a record of 0-2 and an ERA of 4.07). He is the brother-in-law of Pirates great Steve Blass.
