Former Eastern League prospect Angelo LiPetri was born on this date in 1929. He pitched for the Schenectady Blue Jays during the 1954 (11-10, 3.00 ERA) and 1955 (11-6, 3.49 ERA).
LiPetri appeared in a total of 10 games for the Philadelphia Phillies during the 1956 and '58 seasons.
After baseball, he worked for the state of New York. He died on November 17, 2016, at the age of 87.
