Former Eastern League prospect Billy Conigliaro was born on this date in 1947. He played in the Eastern League during two seasons for the Pittsfield Red Sox (1966, '68). 

Conigliaro went to play for the Boston Red Sox (1969-71), Milwaukee Brewers (1972), and Oakland Athletics (1973). He played in 3 games in the 1973 World Series for the World Champion Athletics.

He is younger brother of fellow Boston Red Sox, Tony Conigliaro. Billy died on February 10, 2021, at the age of 73.
