Today's Birthday: Harley Hisner, Scranton Red Sox (1957-59)

Former Eastern League prospect Harley Hisner was born on the date in 1926. He played for the Scranton Red Sox during three seasons (1947-49). 

Hisner pitched in one game for the Boston Red Sox in 1951.

After his baseball career, he worked as a machinist in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Hisner died on March 20, 2015, at the age of 88.
