Happy 80th birthday to former Eastern League prospect Steve Hargan. He played for the Charleston Indians during the 1963 and ’64 seasons.

Hargan pitched in the majors for 12 seasons with the Cleveland Indians (1965-72), Texas Rangers (1974-76, ’77), Toronto Blue Jays (1977) and Atlanta Braves (1977).

He was a member of the 1967 American League All-Star team.
