Happy 90th birthday to former Eastern League prospect Zach Monroe! He pitched for the Binghamton Triplets in 1955 (12-11, 5.46 ERA) and 1956 (16-7, 2.67 ERA).

Monroe played for the New York Yankees in 1958 (21 games, 58 IP, 4-2, 3.26 ERA) and 1959 (3 games, 3.1 IP, 0-0, 5.40 ERA). He appeared in one game in the 1958 World Series.
