Former Eastern League prospect Don Liddle was born on this date in 1925. Liddle pitched for the 1949 Hartford Chiefs, appearing in 19 games (8-5, 3.46 ERA).
He went on to play four seasons in the major leagues with the Milwaukee Braves (1953), New York Giants (1954-56) and the St. Louis Cardinals (1956).
Liddle died on June 5, 2000 at the age of 75.
